This 20 A MPPT solar charge controller by Epever has an LCD display for dynamically displaying the system's operating data. The parameter data can also be viewed and manipulated on a PC using the RS485 data communication port, on MT-50 remote meter or a mobile app. The controller firmware can be updated via an RS485 cable. For communications the Modbus protocol is used which is a de facto standard communication protocol for the electronic devices. The controller is a Positive Grounded one so only 1 positive connection can be earth-grounded. The PV power utilization efficiency is 98%. The temperature compensations feature tracks the battery's temperature and ensures it's not overly high to maintain a longer battery life. The charge controller is compatible with Sealed, Gel and Flooded batteries. The USER mode supports other battery types by allowing the user to manually define the charging parameters. The package includes the Tracer 2210A charge controller, MT-50 remote meter, and a user manual.
