Solar ground lights are a type of solar outdoor lights that are fitted into the ground. It's never been easier to add some curb appeal to your patio, driveway or any other outdoor space you choose. They have this soft, ambient light that illuminates the pathway or a strip of land along which they are placed. No electrician or wiring is needed. Just take it off the package, attach the stake, push the button and push it into the soil. In some cases, you may need to dig a hole beforehand if it's stated so in the manual. Like any other solar lights, in-ground lights have a built-in battery and a small solar module. In the daytime, the solar module charges up the battery and the LEDs light up automatically at dusk. The rechargeable battery can be either replaceable or not with the electric charge ranging from 400 mAh to 1200 mAh. Depending on the battery's electric charge capacity and solar irradiance falling on the solar panel they hold up for 6 - 10 hours of lighting at night. The built-in light sensor automatically turns it on at dusk and turns off at dawn. As these in-ground solar lights operate outdoors they need to be waterproof. Look for IP65 Waterproof marking when looking at specs. A solar light with this marking can withstand most severe rainy weather conditions. In-ground solar lights usually come in a set of 4, 8 or 16 lights in a package.
